LOGIC PROBLEM-DO YOU KNOW THE ANSWER?

Last week, Debra from Delicious Deliveries made eight trips to Treat Towers, bearing gifts for some delighted office workers.  Each of the eight recipients (five women named Annie, Janie, Katya, Sandy and three men named Brady, Lonny and Wade) works on a different floor of the 30-floor building.  No more than two people received gifts on the same day (from Monday through Friday). Can you match the full name of each worker with the floor on which he or she works, the type of gift he or sh received, the occasion the present marked, and the day on which he or she received it?

  1. On Wednesday, Debra delivered a thank-you gift to Ms. Olsen, as well as a basket filled with hard candy to a person on a floor with a number twice that of Katya’s.
  2. The only 2 people to receive fruit baskets are Wade and a  person who received the sympathy gift.  Their floors are 6 levels apart.
  3. The worker surnamed Parsons works on a floor with a number 3 times that of the woman who received a tin of popcorn on Thursday (which wasn’t for her birthday).
  4. The 1 surnamed Mason received a gift 1 day before cookies were sent to the 6th floor.
  5. There were 2 “just because” gifts, and were delivered 2 days apart.  The first went to a man who works 1 floor below Annie, and the second went to Ms. Taricone.
  6. A birthday gift was delivered the day before the item that went to the 5th floor.  Both of these deliveries were the same type of treat.
  7. The three men are Lonnie, Mr. Collins, and the one who works 10 floors down below Janie.  None of the men work on an odd numbered floor.
  8. The 5 women are Victoria, the one that works are the 12th floor, the woman who received her gift on Tuesday, a woman who received a thank you gift, and someone who received cookies (who works on a floor numbered 3 higher than the floor of a man who received gift on Monday).
  9. Ms. Vannoy received her gift the day after Sandy but the day before a coffee set was delivered to the 9th floor.
  10. Brady (who didn’t get chocolates) received his gift the same day as someone on the floor above him received as birthday gift.  Neither of these 2 people received cookies.
  11. 2 people who received gift on the same day are the one surnamed Eckels and the one who received chocolates to mark an anniversary.
  12. On Mondays, Debra delivered to a person on the floor with a number exactly 4 times that of Ms. Dunagan’s floor.
